About UCI Forum

The Unified Communications Interoperability Forum (UCI Forum) is a non-profit alliance of worldwide communications technology leaders working together to realize the potential of unified communications (UC) by increasing efficiency, decreasing implementation costs and improving the interoperability experience for UC customers. Our mission:

  • Engage like-minded fellow organizations committed to delivering consistent and positive user experiences with UC
  • Build on existing initiatives and standards driving developers, vendors and service providers to deliver and use conforming implementations
  • Enable widespread global adoption of truly interoperable unified communications

In order to achieve the mission, the UCI Forum defines and certifies interoperability scenarios, delivers implementation guidelines and recommends best practices for interoperability between UC products and existing communications and business applications.

The UCI Forum is currently developing and publishing specifications that will be used by all UCI Forum members, as a means to increase interoperability between solutions and remove barriers to customer adoption of UC. All UCI Forum members will have the ability to influence the development of these specifications and the resulting verification and certification programs.
